The Jewish Newport on the Jersey Shore: the History of the German Jews of Monmouth County
The Eastern Branch Library in Shrewsbury hosts representatives from the Jewish Heritage Museum of Monmouth County in a free presentation on the first permanent Jewish communities in Monmouth County, established by German Jewish immigrants arriving in the mid 1800s and settling in communities like Keyport, Red Bank, Long Branch and Freehold.
