The Life and Career of Alice Childress
Two River Theater Co. presents the latest in a series of 'Inside Two River' programs (keyed to April's upcoming production TROUBLE IN MIND) that focus on issues of race, rights and equality in Red Bank and Monmouth County. Dr. Farah Griffin, Professor of English and African-American Studies at Columbia University and Director of the Institute for Research and African-American Studies, will lecture on the life and career of Alice Childress (the first African-American woman to have a play professionally produced in New York City) inside the black box Marion Huber space at Two River Theater.
